New Bureau Management System – a revolutionary enhancement for payroll bureaux

Star Computers Limited today announced the launch of its new Bureau Management System (BMS), designed to help bureau staff who have to manage multiple client payrolls. 

The new system was developed following market and focus group research that failed to find any bureau payroll program on the UK market that could deal comprehensively with the processing issues associated with managing multiple payrolls.

Andrew Collett, of Star Computers, explained: “We worked hard over a period of seven months to fill this gap, developing BMS as a very attractive alternative to an unwieldy combination of spreadsheets, databases and out-of-date card systems. BMS takes payroll management to an exciting new level.”

“The initial release of BMS focuses on payroll management workflow, enabling users to track and prioritise what payroll work needs to be carried out for each client, assigning bureau staff and completion dates. The system monitors completion of tasks against due dates and automatically escalates processes to senior personnel for resolution in the event of issues that could impact timely delivery.”

“Moreover, the Bureau Management System shares information with Star Payroll Professional, so there is no time wasted duplicating common data.”

The functionality of the BMS will be extended in 2009 to cover additional areas such as being able to assist in the billing process for payroll work.
