The 2008 Release of Star EBS (Employee Benefits Software) will provide users with substantial time savings where they can import data that has been exported from Payroll and/or HR systems and so speed up the generation of P11D’s. New easy to use import ‘Wizards’ means users can import data directly into the software quickly and easily.
For accountancy firms processing P11D’s on behalf of clients it means data can be emailed to them from in-house systems and loaded into EBS without re-keying. This will save time and eliminate the risk of re-keying errors.
“The potential for this goes beyond even client based systems” comments Software Director Andrew Collett “For example, a firms Private Health Care provider could send a CSV file of contributions received per employee, and this data could be imported straight into EBS.”
For users of Star’s Payroll Professional software, data is shared with EBS, removing the need to enter the same data in two places, saving time and ensuring consistency.
“With so much data coming into the software electronically, and going out electronically as PDF’s for client records and to HMRC on-line filing, the days of keying lots of data in and printing out lots of reports are drawing to a close for P11D’s” he concludes.
