Boost for client service levels
Bourner Bullock, a long-established firm of chartered accountants with offices in London and Central Milton Keynes, is significantly upgrading its practice management system – and associated IT infrastructure – with the installation of a 40-user Star Practice Management solution from Star Computers.
The new system will be at the heart of Bourner Bullock’s drive to harness the power of technology for the benefit of clients and the people with whom they work. In addition to the core modules of time and billing, job and resource management, the software order includes Star CRM (Contact Relationship Management), Star Practice Dashboard, and Star EASY Document Management.
Paul Campion, Practice Manager for Bourner Bullock, explained that the upgrade would be a major step forward for the firm. “The system will link together our London and Milton Keynes offices, giving everyone online access to the data and information they need to help provide our clients with the highest levels of service. Access will also be extended to people working away from the offices so they can call up and download client files and documentation, track client communications and contacts, monitor work in progress, and much more, quickly and securely,” Campion says.
“We will also move to personal online completion of timesheets, which together with direct access to client information, will free up back-office and administrative staff to expand their skills and take on a greater variety of work.”
From a practice management perspective, the firm expects to benefit from better visibility of resource allocation and practice profitability – and equally as important, levels of client service and satisfaction.
Bourner Bullock, which was established as a firm of chartered accountants in 1883, is based in Central London and Milton Keynes.
